Looking at the weather for Cedar Creek and DFW area, looks like a calm - light and variable winds with partly cloudy skies and high in the upper 40's tomorrow (Saturday). We just finished several days of north wind and clouds. Then Sunday possible winter storm, north winds rain-ice-snow.

What will the fish do Saturday? I have not been to the lake in about 3 weeks, not sure what the water temperature is now...

I am going to go try them. Just not sure where to start.

Good luck all - be safe - have a great weekend.

I'll definitely be out there tomorrow. I was thinking with the temps we've had lately, if the sun comes out good, the shallows might warm up enough to draw them in. I'll start looking in the mid depth flats early in the morning and see what things look like. I hope we get a little wind and I'd be happy if it stays cloudy. Cloudy deep, sunny shallow. just a place I'm gonna start...

Gizzards will be piled up thick as cordwood out deep in the channels. 3 mph wind is forecast for the morning so wonโ€™t be much wind. My trolling motor is busted or we would be dragging the channel around those gizzards for sure. I ordered a new Minn Kota last week so should be back in action next week. Good luck amigos! Should be a big bite slow bite.

Last 3 times I've been out, when winds were supposed to be light, I about got blown off the lake. These meteorologists, can't seem to even get relatively close on wind these days. I'll be bank fishing, as my Merc is out of commission. Hope to have it fixed and back up and running next week.

Was a great morning for fishing, cold.....but calm winds. Caught a hog channel cat, that was it though, aside from a couple small blues. Deepest water I had access to from the bank was 10 to 12 foot. As cold as the water was, I consider myself lucky to have caught anything, at that depth.
