Heard rumor they are running fishermen out of the Salaninis ? Can anyone conffirm.

Spent 2 days there last week mostly on the mexico side and no issues other then trying to navigate through all the gill nets.

Was fishing in front of Salinas Sunday and noticed there wasn’t even one boat within eyesight of the mouth, not even a netter. Could be coincidence but who knows. Fish didn’t seem scared.

Most boats that I've seen, have been on the Texas side for the last 3 weeks. A few are running over to the Mex side but not like years pass. The lake being so low may have a lot to with that.

Got down here this evening and was told about the cartel hanging around the mouth of Salinias, I ask him where he heard this and he said “a guide told me”. Who knows, don’t care but I’ll be able to see if it’s true tomorrow.

These post crack me up. Yes a person got killed for whatever reason and everyone is scared to fish a lake, but most live in cities where people get killed everyday and still goes downtown like nothing ever happened. Just go fishing mind your business and your fine.

Just go fishing mind your business and your fine. Two guys in our club during our November tournament were minding their own business when the cartel came upon them and held them at gunpoint while they went through their boat. They have two slightly used Mexico fishing license for sale.
