I'm looking for a repair shop around Austin that can help me with what I believe is an issue with my Minn Kota Terrova I Pilot 80 lb thrust TM. My boat is 22' and weighs about 3k with me, my gear, fuel and motor, rigging, etc. On speed 10 with no wind (flat calm) I am moving about 1.4 mph according to the I Pilot remote and I believe that thing is pretty close because it feels like I'm barely moving. In a 15 mph wind it won't hold me in one spot on speed 10. I've checked both the batteries under a load and they are putting out 12.6 volts each. The motor is 6 years old. Came on a boat I just bought.
I have looked up authorized dealers on MK's website but wondering if anyone has a recommendation.
Thoughts?

my Ranger RT188, 2014 weighs 1200 pounds, loaded probably 1700. My Terrova is a gen2, about 3 years old. On a smooth lake I can get 3.4 - 3.6 mph. thats with the remote on 10, full batteries. Holds me all day in 15-20 mph wind. hope this helps...jim

Following as I have a new terrova that is having same issues. I've wondered if its the plug I have and maybe I need to wire it direct to power wires and remove the plug.

I haven't pulled the prop but I'll do that tomorrow.

Mine did that, thought I had a bad battery. Called All star marine gave me some helpful hints. Found bad connection behind bow panel where plug is wired. Splice back together and heat shrink connections. Works like a champ. Hope it helps. They are a finicky motor when comes to power supply.

Interesting I'll do some digging on mine and see what I can find. Thanks.

Welp never take anything for granted when buying a used boat. Turns out the batteries were hooked up in parallel and not in series so I was only getting 12 volts to the trolling motor. I would have checked this first but thought for sure it needed 24 volts to run but it doesn't. Seems to be running fine now. I'll check for sure when I get on the water.
