Bell County entering 4th week of Covid vaccination program.

Category 1B citizens still not being vaccinated at any location in Bell County.

Something is super screwed up somewhere. hammer

I've contacted the Temple Mayor, County Judge, County Commissioner and County Health Director. None of them accepting responsibility for overseeing the program in Bell County.

Each said that the individual entities in the county that received the vaccine (Scott & White, HEB, CVS, Walgreens) is responsible for managing their vaccination program in accordance the state vaccination plan.

Well that plan certainly isn't working out worth a damn so far. bang

Why go looking for trouble? I'll be 67 next month and the longer I can put off not getting it, the better. I want to see some results first.

It's my opinion that there is too much "plan". After the medical field and folks in nursing homes they should just open it up. It would be faster, as it's available give to anyone that wants it. If the idea is to get as many vaccinated as possible I would think the more the merrier.

How are you counting 4 weeks when the first vaccine(Pfizer) was not even approved till December 11?

There are many first responders, nurses, doctors etc giving care to COVID patiejts that have not been able to get tge vaccine yet as well it. The process will improve daily. Itsa huge undertaking and they are doing the best they can.

Vaccinations began in Bell County on Dec 14. Any health care & 1st responders who desired the vaccination have had plenty of time/opportunity to get it. The fact that there is no local oversight of the program is disturbing.

I will still say from firsthand knowledge that entire first responder departments have been unable to be vaccinated. They have not had plenty of time because there has not been enough vaccine available. There is 100% local oversight which is what is causing so many mixed messages and why so many differences. Each area is in control of how they register, administer and track the vaccine. Throw in a supply issue and it gets harder.

December 14 is still under 4 weeks. Its really only been 2 full weeks and skipping to 1B just muddied up an already tough situation. I was told directly by a site in my county that they would skip over first responders and go to 1B. Not hearsay, it is what I was told when I tried to schedule mine.

All that being said its gonna get better and easier to get it moving forward.

Yes, this has worked out well for things like Black Friday. I'm sure there wouldn't be any problems just opening it up to the general public, seeing how kind, patient, and selfless everyone is nowadays.

One of my clients is 78. They also work in public health, but waited. They were able to get in Sunday. Their spouse that is 77 and has underlying issues can't get in. Their 81 year old friend that works in public health got in Thursday. They all registered on Tarrant County's site on Tuesday. It's roll of the dice

Yessir.
My wife works at a hospital and the only reason she already got the vaccine is that front line workers who believe the carp they read on fakebook were wanting to see how someone reacted before they would get the vaccine. Her own sister, who also works in healthcare, called to see if she had any reaction rolleyes

If front line workers don’t want the vaccine, move them to the back of the line.

There's been more than 7075 doses of vaccine delivered to Bell County and only 3190 doses administered.

No place providing it to category 1 B persons yet.

If you need the vaccine, move to Israel.
