And be clear I only buy a bottle or 2 a year for special occasions, I would never pay what a restaurant charges for it, 200 bucks ish. I dont hate money that much lol

They price wine at high prices because a lot of people think if it’s higher it must be good. don’t always believe what is said about a bottle of wine if you think $100 bottle of wine is good and can afford it all the better and if you like a $20 bottle of wine buy it because it leaves more money for new baits anyway. I’m sure there are some great bottles of wine that cost $100+. I’m not a big wine drinker.

This is a decent wine for the price. Nothing fancy, but what they call a good daily drinker. I've been through about 4 or 5 cases over the last few years and it's consistent.

I've narrowed it down to there being two kinds of wine. The wines that are sweet and girly, or the wines that taste like sh!t. So it's easy. Just avoid the wine section completely. It's always a great choice.

I was getting the ol' "you should do this's" from my old lady, basically to try some wine because it's healthier, easier on the liver, cheaper, etc. Being a bourbon/whiskey drinker, I was surprised when I came across bourbon barrel wines when looking into it. Also being a bourbon/whiskey drinker who's not big on port/wine finished bourbons, you'd think I might know better. I wasn't optimistic. But I'm reading some stuff and looking at reviews. People are saying how surprisingly marvelous and exquisite it is. How much you can taste the bourbon, and how splendidly it pairs with x foods at dinner. So I took a shot on two of the most raved about bottles. Got em home and tried both. Needless to say, none of those devils leaving reviews are actual bourbon drinkers. And all I wanted was to travel the country with a printed list and stop by to slap the [censored] out of each and every one of them. It might be the worst thing I've ever paid to drink.

You saying Chuck Norris isn’t a man?

While working my way through college in Las Vegas. I worked at the Gold Coast Casino. it was rumored that Chuck Norris was a part owner of either the restaurant or the Casino itself. All I know is that when he showed up, the back half of the restaurant was closed off. He and his family would sit at a huge table, no one was allowed to speak to any of them except the Maître D. We would place the food and just stand about 6 Ft back and fill waters or coffees as needed. He was very quiet, He did drink wine, and he is much shorter than most people would think. I also met Willie Nelson (he was an amazingly nice person). Also met Mr. T, who at the time wore all his eating utensils on a huge gold chain. He would take off the chain, it had a full sized gold fork, knife, plate and goblet. We would wash the items and serve all his food and drink in them. Amazing what your see in Vegas.

I'll second the Conundrum. Little brother to Caymus...same vintner, just the lesser grapes I suppose.

I like cabs, and try and stay in the $15 range per bottle. This really narrows my choices down a lot, and you really cannot go wrong picking any wine in that category, try them all. For the price, I really like Liberty School, $14 a bottle bat Tom Thumb.
