We don't have any "departments" around here. If it needs to be done, one of us does it.  Yep. it's not me vs her here, it's us. No, she doesn't bush hog around here or drive the ZTM's nor wash the vehicles. But, if there's a skidmark left the prudent thing is get the brush and do what's needed. Teamwork is doing what's needed.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Apparently, cleaning toilets is a shared responsibility? I mentioned the toilets need cleaning and SHE said I could do it. I said toilets was her department and then added, “would you like to mow the yard and maintain the pool and hot tub?” Didn’t go over well. I don’t think she’s speaking to me right now. Not sure. Awfully quiet round here. Tell her she needs to learn her place as a woman and scrub those cans.

Wife does all the cleaning, I help when I can but it never meets her standards so just staying out of the way helps too.
I find other ways to contribute.

Tell her it's the 2000's and things have come a long way. That a womans place isn't just in the kitchen anymore. It's anywhere in the house that needs some cleaning. Then tell her to enjoy her liberation, and she's welcome.

The "I take care of the outside, you the inside" doesn't fly here. When winter comes she quits cleaning. Starts back up in the spring when the grass starts growing.
