After playing around going down a bank in shallow water trying to figure out the Scout Mode on the Lowrance Active Target, we pulled up to the best looking dock we could see in hopes of catching one on camera. This dock had a giant feeder on the end of it which is a tell tale sign there might be fish around it waiting for a meal. On the first cast, you can see the Rapala DT6 come into view. If you look closely, you can see it ricochet off the bottom in the shallow water and a pause before finalizing the retrieve. The second cast was simply money running it right down the side of the dock! Unfortunately, we never actually saw this fish strike, however there is a bright glitch that shoots off to the right side of the dock when the strike happens. We don't know if that was the line jumping or pinging in the water or what. Either way, I've got a feeling that this won't be the last fish I catch on scout mode in shallow water! My brain is racing with different applicable tournamnt situations I travel the country this year.
