Game warden gave me a special meet and greet while I was spot locked in the shadows of big brown. He had a different opinion. Told me to get beyond the fence in short order.

Thats interesting there are some other de-commissioned plants the hot water outlet open now, they don't disappoint. Maybe the warden was keeping you out of his spot grin

Are you looking for this link?

https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/fairfield-lake

It appears there may a conflict as some are saying it is open the 9th and 10th. The pic is what I still see n the TPWD site above. You may want to call the office if you donโ€™t live close and wanting to go on the 9th and 10th. If you have never been, both ramps are inside the park boundaries.

Fished tough today. Was not worth the drive down. Fished grass edges with drop-shot, niko wacky, t-rig, chatter bait, and red trap. Buddy caught 1 on a red trap shallow that was a decent fish, but barely fought back. Just kind of dead weight. Talked to another team on the ramp. They caught 6 but as they had driven down from Keller they weren't real happy either. Water temps 54 AM 56 by late afternoon.
