Hello, I rolled a propellor blade on my Tracker 175 50hp Mercury and made a call to Cabelas looking for new one. On the prop that is on it now has a sticker saying 12x22 on it. The guy at Cabela's says that sounds like to much pitch and doesn't have that one or anything close...he also doesn't want to suggest another for some reason. The boat runs good...out of the hole and leveld out pretty quick, cruises WOT about 30-35 ....
So my questions are ...Is this the right prop for this boat? What would you recommend to use in it's place? Any sites or groups to search for one? Thanks

call a prop shop to get better information on your setup and propeller.

Pull the prop off. It should have a part number stamped either on the front or back side. Look it up and see what the pitch really is. I had a 40 hp I ran a 10x12 on. A 22 “ pitch prop is way to much for a 50hp. I run a 22” on my 150hp

I have a 2001 and it did the same thing and don't remember getting anything on it. I just cleaned it up real good and went on. Boat stays in storage and don't fisn in the rain so no issues.

Whatever you get, get a stainless steel prop.

Should have a part number stamped into the casting, on the hub side. Mine has no size or pitch anywhere on the motor or prop. My 50 has a 12.25 x 9. It's on a Pontoon boat though. On that big tank, it spins it up to 5800. with just me and gear.
