What does the 1.5 or 2.5 represent. It can't be the length because the lure can be 2.75" long. The depths can be 5 - 7 ft deep. So exactly what does it mean. Thanks for the lesson. 66 and still learning. CW

Looking at different crank baits, the 1.5 can either be 3/8 or 1/2 oz. And the 2.5 can be 1/2 or 5/8 oz, so that doesn't seem to be what that represents, but I could be dead wrong because I flat don't know and there is no good explanation for it on the net. If it is not going to represent anything, then I wish they would not advertise it as a 1.5 or a 2.5 Crankbait.

Should be the size profile of the bait but not meaning the exact length of the bait. They just associate those numbers to that style if that makes sense KVD 1.0 2" 1/4oz 2-4ft KVD 1.5 2-1/4" 3/8oz 3-6ft KVD 2.5 2-3/4" 5/8oz 3-6ft

I always thought that 1.5 meant 1 1/2" in length minus the bill and 2.5 meant 2 1/2" minus the bill.

Yeh. I know a 2.5 chunks farther than a 1.5, but a 1.5 gets bit more. That’s all I got.

LOL, well at least I feel better now. You know if they are going to call something by a reference name, they should at least inform the buyer what it suppose to represent.

Just remember, Strike King has 1, 1.5, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 size lures.
The number has no meaning, except higher is bigger, may run deeper, but not necessarily.
