Three of them left as it started to sprinkle.



Big one of the day. Tried fishing grass but never got bit, tried flutter spoon deep and stayed stuck most of time, tried lipless crank bait ... zero. Finally got into them late on 6xd in middle of channel in 24 feet of water, as bait was coming through suspended at 10 ft. Missed a bunch that were just tapping bait as I would reel it down and then let wind push me backwards. May have to go back and do that again today.




Left them biting when cold north wind hit and lightning started.

Dang, you are having quite the week ending 2020!

I always take the last week or two of the year off to fish. I'll be fished out by the 3rd and work will seem like a vacation.

Naconiche is significantly more difficult than it used to be.
For as small as that lake is, it gets a lot of fishing pressure.

I should have gone there yesterday. I was headed there, that was the plan. Drive 15 minutes south to Rusk and start second guessing myself. Its cold, its windy, fishing is probably going to be tough, its the first day of 2021, don't want to get skunked... pull over on the side of the road, enter Martin Creek in google maps, and head there instead. Get skunked there.

My first trip there was Dec 4 and I caught two fish in my first spot, one was 5 the other was almost 8 and I thought I was onto something. The next two days were a beatdown.

When you go and the lot looks like that is rare!

I usually try to go during the week to keep the traffic down if I can get away from work.
