I recently received my black bullhead state record certificate for a fish I caught in February, while Plnor fishing. The fish was 14.5 inches long and weighed 1.96 pounds. Not a huge fish, but still fun without a reel. Isnt that we used to call a polywog? we caught a lot of them years ago.

Congratulations. Stay away from my river carpsuckers. That was a dandy bullhead. Once I complete my state records, mostly using other methods like Plnor fishing or fly fishing, I will go back to rod and reel fishing. So your record could be in danger then.  But, you have set the carpsucker record mark very high.
