You’re SOL. They stopped giving depredation permits. Zero reason they should be on the protected list because they’re so destructive, but no one in their right mind would eat one. Some of the best trained dogs won’t even retrieve one (allegedly).

Looks like USFWS has finally hurtled the environmental impact statement, the federal migratory bird treaty act and whatever other dumbassery had been going on and giving the states back the ability to issue depredation permits again. That only took what, a couple years??

In Texas, i think they should just lump them in with hogs and apply same rules. Basically no rules.
