Thanks everyone. They were tasty, but I prefer them steamed, but it was a nice change of pace. And I agree that a little bacon would have been a great addition.

I like them steamed or boiled, but the wife likes them baked like that. For what it's worth, you'll get used to them that way!

Another way I like them is to chop finely and braise/saute in a skillet with olive oil. salt, and pepper till done to your liking. Makes the sprouts go further, too.

I love broccoli charred that way too. Best to cook it outside though. Do that in the oven with either the sprouts or broccoli and the house will stink for 2 days after.
