It’s closed this week be sure to check web site before making the drive. Also if the lake is low careful launching as the rocks around both ramps are bad.

OMG - I can just see the boat ramp this week!

The honest truth is most fisherman don't have the ability to go to a lake and "whack em" even if they know the lake is loaded with fish. Just the way it be...

That is such a false statement. Earlier this year me and buddy of mine caught 94 bass in one day.. I caught 48 by myself the next day. They were biting very well both days. Last year I caught 82 by myself on Welsh, again the fish were biting very well. If they are biting you can "wack em", so it isn't just the way it be,,,as you stated.

you've fished a lot and probably paid a lot of guide money to get some good areas

I will bet you the average person that goes to Welsh and has zero knowledge of the lake struggles to catch 10 fish over 2 pounds in a day. Hell 8-12 years ago I could go to fork and catch 50+ by myself on one bait, in Dec-Feb in a day. I also been fishing the lake since it opened and at that time I spent 10-20 days a month on the lake.

So I will stick to my original statement

Douglas you couldn't be more wrong with your statement. I have never hired a guide for Welsh. I have spent time out there learning the lake. I have slow days, good days, and great days, it all depends on how the fish are biting. Just because you can no longer catch a bunch of fish doesn't make that true for everyone. Come to the lake sometime and I will teach you how to catch fish, but it will cost you because I have spent time and money learning the lake and if you want to know how to catch fish out there it will cost you, mainly because of your attitude. If you weren't so negative I would show you what I know about the lake at no charge, but that will not happen now. You will have to pay for lessons on how to catch fish. If you don't want to do that,,,I don't care,,,,,just keep on not catching fish.

We were on the hunt this week, they put us out by the gatehouse off the highway, I had to roflmao at every guy pulling their boat only having to turn around when they found out the lake was closed and guessing many of them were going because they read this thread
