I have never fished a power-plant lake but will be heading out to Welsh in a couple of weeks. Everything I have read/seen has said that by January it will be post spawn.

Any info on techniques y’all would throw in a power plant lake during that time period?

Depends on lake and kind of cover.

My opinion is they will spawn around every full moon when the temps drop. Think of it like this they are in hot water most of the year. Any time the water temps gets down near that magical mid 60 degree temp they will spawn. They will also spawn deeper if the temps are right. They don't need the shallow warmth of the sun.

Outside or inside grass lines. Top waters, punching maybe a senko wacky or t rigged

The water temp at Welsh last weekend was 64.8-65 degrees.

just go fish your strengths and have fun. many ways to catch em there shallow to deep. rocks wood grass or current.

But you have to make it as extremely scientific as you possibly can!

There will be some post spawners but the majority of those fish spawn in March and April just like a normal lake. But don't tell anybody. Ha.
