I am a bit confused about Bastrop access. so there is a state park, but it's not on the lake apparently, and the two parks on the lake are actually run by another organization (LCRA) ? State parks currently you have to reserve your spot in advance due to covid, but since the ones on the lake aren't the state park then can you just show up whenever? I was reading on the south park and under hours it said "Gift shop opens at 8:00" which is confusing. Does that mean you buy entrance tickets in the shop, or it's free entrance? Their reservation page only shows campsites, not entry fees. I think I will head up there Sunday.

Both ramps (North and South) have pay stations outside the park offices, you can come and go as you please. I wanna say it's $5 or $7 per vehicle.
