What’s the difference between the 14 pin transducer cable and a 7 pin?

I may be wrong, but short answer is 14 for solix and 7 for helix. I think that's right

You are not wrong... The 14 pin is the round connector that comes out of the unit, there is an adapter extension for the 7 pin "House" connector for Helix.

ONIX, SOLIX, ION, and APEX have a 14 pin transducer port and their transducers are 14-pin.

Helix and number series units have a 7 pin transducer port and their transducers have a plug that has a 7-pin capacity.

The Humminbird 360 is an Ethernet connection.

The Humminbird MEGA 360 has a 14-pin SOLIX transducer connection that can be adapted to 7-pin for a Helix.
The MEGA 360 comes with two 10' cables, one of them converts the 14-pin connection to 7-pin. The other cable is a 14-pin transducer extension cable to connect the MEGA 360 directly to a SOLIX.
