Hey all!
New here. Wife is doing some travel nursing so we are in Victoria for a few months. I tried to head out fishing but have struck out 4 days in a Row lol at this point I just wanna get a bite! I’m a fairly new fisher so I may be doing it completely wrong. So far I’ve been to:
  • Coleto creek and rv park
  • Guadalupe River vía the county park
  • Various saxet lakes
  • Patriots park

I tried short worms , spinner baits, and a few crank baits. Nothing hits. Not sure if it’s the places I’m trying but it’s been very disheartening to say the least lol I’ve also tried early morning, small middle of the day and late afternoons.

Considering heading to Port LaVaca to at least get some bites on the pier 😑

Any help or nice spots to try would be greatly appreciated.

Coleto Creek is good bass fishing. Watch out for the alligators.

Lake Texana for catfish, crappie, and bass.

Skip all of those other places and head over to Choke Canyon.

Appreciate the advice and locations. Went out to lake Texana and had a great time. Might head to choke canyon next!

You're fishing the wrong type of water, too close to the coast to be fishing freshwater banana
