Never been there and looking forward to it. For all you guys that have been what is your go to baits? I have heard Super Flukes, and Big Brush hogs type baits. Not sure what water clarity is like. Any luck with big swim baits?

Just returned from Baccarac, Bass Pro Adventures.. Partner and I caught over 400 fish in four days. Biggest fish 8-15. Water dingey with visibility about two feet.

Top baits:

3/4 oz. swinghead jig with big 6" Z-man TRD stick bait in black and blue and watermelon red
1/2-3/4 oz underspin with Keteich 4.3 & 4.8" in white
Magnum Flukes/white, and of course, wacky style Senkos 7" & 6"
7" worms on 1/2 oz. shakes heads. Black and blue plus try ORANGE!

Our four biggest fish all came on Strike King 10X cranks. Not many hits, but all fish on cranks were over 6 lbs.

Fantastic lake, best lake in Mexico for a really BIG fish. Couple of fish in the 13 lb. range were caught week before we arrived. Biggest bass this year was over 15 Lbs. Best thing: NO Talapia nets.

Had problems with No-Seeums!! Take Avon Skin so Soft insect repellent and USE it. You won't know your getting bit until you start itching like crazy and beak out in welts!!!

Good luck

I was there for 2 weeks straight this past February and will be there for another two weeks shortly. I believe this lake is better than falcon in it’s prime. Mag fluke, a jig and a crank bait is all you need. Typical Mexican lake water color. I never had a problem with bugs. Swim baits are the real deal out there but that’s not what I do so I didn’t throw them.

Had a pair of 10's and a ridiculous amount of 8's and 9's. Not many DD's were caught last Feb and alot of great fisherman were there.
