Been thinking about going up there and fishing Sunday. Never been on the lake, not looking for anyone’s spots are anything, just wondering how it’s been. I know it’ll be slow due to the cold, but I’d like to get out on the water and have an enjoyable day with the wife for her birthday. Also is there any places that are unsafe to run?

Some points run shallow and underwater islands to be aware of. It’s a pretty safe lake to run. If you go north you will find timber. Just stay in the river channel.

fish are 30ft in creek channels on A-rig. Easiest bite for a newbie would be hop points with rock crawlers or wiggle warts or fish steep walls with ned rig or shakey head.
