Takes time for the turbos to spool. The lag makes the 5.0l feel more responsive. Congrats on your truck.

For a Ford, definitely the 3.55. Both the 6 and the 10 speed have a pretty healthy drop in ratio from first to second. The 3.55 will keep the converter from lugging and keep the motor in the preferred range for towing.

I have to ask about the 3.5L EcoBoost not feeling as sturdy or stout? hmmm

Now if you had said you drove a 3.3L V6 then I would wholeheartedly agree but I have never been a 3.5L EcoBoost that felt less stout than any of the available V-8 engines in a 1/2 ton truck. sarcastic

The 3.5L V6 just didn't feel like I was driving a truck. Maybe I was a little bias to the 5.0L V8 going in.
