What brand of sunglasses do you prefer on the water? I have Under Armor and i like them because they are light, but the want to ride up going across the lake.

I like the Maui Jim Ho'okipa. They are very lightweight. You can also get them with a bifocal for old guys.

I just got the Magpul Explorers. Very light and comfortable for me. I don't know how the lenses stack up against Costa or Oakley since the only other polarized glasses I've had were cheap WalMart pairs. Just sent them off to have prescription lenses put in.

Check them out. I have had non-polarized Oakleys and Wiley-X and the Magpuls are lighter and more comfortable for me.

if you have vision insurance they typically give you an annual amount for new frames. For example, $200. If you don't need to use it on new prescription glasses or contact lenses you can use it for sunglasses. As long as you order them from your optometrist it should be covered. I have ordered all my Oakley and Maui Jim's that way and rarely have to pay out any money.

I have 4-5 pairs of Costas, they have always been my go to. But just picked up a pair of Oakleys Monday, wanted to try them out

Costas with glass green mirror amber lenses are my go to.

If you want a quality cheap pair and don’t mind a universal fit then check out Fuse Lenses.

I discovered these after going through some cheaper but well known brands that were absolute garbage. Fuse makes aftermarket replacement lenses for all the big brands but they also have their own frames. The frames are just ok but their lenses are good. You can get em for about $30-35 or cheaper when they have a sale. I’ve got some grey, amber, and some yellow low light lenses.

Oakley Men's Flak 2.0 XL Sunglasses in the Matte Black frames w/Prizm Deep H2o Polarized lenses.

These here.

I tried several different Costa's and none of them fit me well enough to buy them again.

Every time I buy another brand and wear them I always sell them and get the Oakley's back out. cheers

These guys are a major outdoor products discounter. I get my Costas here and usually under $100. They also sell many other brands. Unfortunately they only discount high-end fly fishing gear.

Inventory changes often so you have to check every couple of weeks. Prices are not discounted as much right now and inventory is lower because of Christmas sales but after the 1st of the year they will drop even more.

Costa with glass lenses are heavy. And after fishing a few days in a row my nose starts to feel it. I have been using Solarbats because they are light , good lenses and alot cheaper then others.

Kaenon hi vis yellow and copper 28 percent most of the year. If it's really clear water and bright sun I'll go to copper 12 percent.
