I think these would work for a winter pattern. Plain 1/16th jig head (would probably be cool with a pearl pink head) woven body pearl grey and rosy red shad, grey and pink marabou, silver holographic mirage flashabou.

This is a very simple jig but has been deadly in the red stained waters around Wichita Falls and Abilene. 1/16 red head Black nylon chenille Natural White Neck Hackle Pearl Flashabou I like using the rusty white feathers you sometimes get from natural hackle.

Funny story with that jig SK,I was fishing on Lake Stamford, got hung up and pulled a jig up that looked like that, so I figured if someone else was using it there was a reason, tied some up for the next trip and fish on. Something not many think of using in red stained water. Had I not found that jig by accident I would have never either. I coached for many years and we are all thieves of good stuff, there is not anyone recreating the wheel.

These babies had a rough day today as the magnum sand bass loved them as much as the crappie did. Wish the crappie would have been as big.

I've used the same color on white bass in spring when the river is up and running muddy. Works well in the really muddy water. I used to tie a spinner bait in the same combo for bass in muddy water. Water so muddy you could not see the bait 2" deep.

Thought I would get this going again. This jig is made a little different. It has two chenilles combined together with a dubbing twister. Chenilles Silver Rainbow and Blue Pearl Crystal Ghost Grey Neck Hackle Rainbow Flashabou Ghost Gray Krystal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYBJJFe_FKM&t=5s
