Just curious if anyone has had any luck on lake Waco lately. I live close by so trying to figure it out somewhat. I'm new to the crappie scene, so don't have a ton of deeper piles marked yet.

Just got a new graph on my kayak, works great but haven't found any crappie yet! The brush piles look good though! grin

Fish have moved deeper following the shad. The fish I caught last week were 29-34 ft deep in open water under the shad. Tried a couple piles at 24 ft, nada.
There are fish in the south and north Bosque which may be your best bet in a kayak. I'm not familiar with launching places for a yak in either river. There's a kayak section and you might be able to get more info there. Good fish

I've thoroughly tried the Mid & South bosque in the yak... those graph pics were in the mid bosque actually. Not seeing any shad or marking any fish. Might be missing them though!

Going to try the North very soon.

Hey Lerb, where is your location? Near Waco? I fish in a yak and cc boat but really like the yak. Been concentrating on catfishing lately. Gizzard shad have been elusive.
