This looks like a potential fishing spot near SA, but the nearby trailhead apparently doesn't have parking? Also it looks like a lot of the lake near the trail is fenced off. Has anyone been here? Maybe I'll check it out this next weekend.

I checked out this place yesterday, recon only. There's no official parking area yet, so I had to park in a sketchy area. The trail is very nice, it' about 1.5 miles to where you can access the lake, although there is a nice little pond near the start. I didn't see any fish in it. The lake itself looks shallow and of course pretty wet around the edges. The sign at the trailhead says no boats so I can't take my kayak. I may try fishing it. Fishbrain or one of those sites say there's fish, but I don't trust those sites. Back in Washington they report completely bogus stuff for a lot of lakes, so I don't know if it would be worth my time to try to fish it. The trailhead says don't walk off trail, but the sign at the lake just says no wading or swimming, it doesn't say no fishing.

Personally, I don't need to fish badly enough to park in a sketchy area. I would either wait for parking to be developed, or find a better place to fish.

I fished Cassin lake last two weekends. Pulled my kayak in on a bike trailer. No bites, no bait fish, Mud bottom between 0’-6’ deep, mostly 3-4’ deep, found one spot 8’ deep, Lots of grass everywhere.
