Gill FG2 Insulated Tournament Suit is hands down the best suit I have ever worn. I fished Tuesday night on Sandlin in the wind and rain until about 12am and never got cold or wet. I will never be buying another insulated suit other than this one.

I'd just make sure it was gore tex material and worry less about the brand. They have some new material that I don't have experience with but I have bought things in the past that claimed to be wind proof like gore tex but they were NOT. I prefer to layer underneath an uninsulated gore tex suit.

I have pro qualifier gore tex. Very good for layering. My only problem is with the hood ballooning at speed.

Also if it's just wind and cold, I use a quality insulated ski bib and a cabela's wind stopper jacket layered underneath, down vest, thermal etc. I only use my goretex on rainy days. Properly dry them then re dry them to activate waterproofing again. Eventually they all need another coating to repel water

A lot of people complain about the rain wear "not working" when they just need to use Nikwax on it to clean, revitalize, condition, and waterproof it! cheers

the dryer activates gortex by letting the fibers re-stand and bead water.

Worn the gravel gear from Northern Tool in the worst conditions and stayed warm and dry.
Great price also if you don’t mind looking like a neon banana (not a bad thing fishing from a kayak in dark, cold, rainy conditions)
