I had a clue what it was—my oldest has gone on there after taking the SAT and there are sub forums where the kids go to discuss all the challenging SAT questions.

Don’t know how I feel about it and have concerns that it’s creating a culture where people are worried about what others think—fosters a herd mentality where people follow strong personalities mindlessly repeating rhetoric instead of using their own intelligence for some independent thought.

That's social media in general. Watch The Social Dilemma on Netflix if you haven't already. Should be required watching for everyone.

I get on it daily, I would say it's similar to the TFF in that you have a home page that shows top posts at the time for different topics, and can go into different topics and see posts, but different in that you get to pick your topics, Say Gun deals, News, Texas Beer, Dad Jokes, Trees, Videos of people freaking out, etc. Then you can go into those topics and scroll to your hearts desire. There's thousands of different topics (communities) you could subscribe/follow.

I really like it for video footage when something happens, it's where everything you see on the 10 o'clock news starts.

It'll ruin you though if you're on it enough, you see things then several days later you'll see someone post it on FB as their own and you're like naw I don't think so.

You can get lost in worm holes there for hours if you aren't careful!

I enjoy it! It is a world wide Forum and you get the views of the masses.

When Russia invaded the Ukraine and were denying it to the World, people who lived there were posting videos of Soviet tanks going past there houses on Reddit.

When you see a news heading and want to know more, you can search Reddit and find another level of information that the media doesn't have access too.


For the inexperienced just go to Google and type Reddit and your subject and it will bring up the most current news.

They have a good pepper growing and lawn care sub forums.

Good proper groping subs, too.

You could do a Happy Humpday all nude from Reddit. You can find any pic you want to find on there.

A good start is the popular threads and go from there. Join the subs you are interested in and then your "feed" will have stuff you're interested in. Its a great resource, and most of my google searches involve the question + "reddit" so that I can get a more honest opinion of whatever I'm interested in. For example, "what's the best car seat for children reddit" might be what I search for if I want to learn about car seats.

It can be pretty liberal leaning overall if you just look at popular threads and what is trending, but there are plenty of great subs to check out. There are conservative subforums, liberal subforums, and everything in betweem
