Hey Everyone!

I took up fishing at the end of summer. Had some success with bass & catfish, but can't seem to catch more than 3-4 crappie in a day.

I put in around 6-8 miles of walking today around Denton Creek just searching for bank fishing spots and marking my map. Rough... lol

I've got more time on my hands than I know what to do with... I'm a disabled vet and student. I've got some empty stringers and the fishing itch! lol

I just want to catch some damn fish!

Same story here. I'm in the Granbury area and have had issues locating accessible and worthwhile feeder creeks that produce crappie and sand bass for bank fishermen. Using a small boat is a different story running up and down the Brazos, but I do enjoy the creek jumping experience.

Moved this way from northeast of the metroplex and was used to hitting a ton of creeks feeding Lavon, Tawakoni, and Ray Hubbard. Out here it seems to be a different story.

I've had mixed luck hitting the creeks off Benbrook including Mustang, Rock, and the East Fork Trinity that goes under 377. Haven't tried the one off of Old Granbury road by Longpark park but I figure it's similar. I did manage to snag a small handful of sandies during their spring run on the Nolan River in Blum. The issue to me seems to be that so many of the creeks back up to private property, so fishing it is really most accessible with a kayak.

I plan on exploring more spots around Weatherford and Mineral Wells but I'm just not familiar enough with the lakes in the area to know the feeder creeks and access points.

I'm also down to get out on the water in a boat if anyone needs a second!

If it's not DFW I'll drive 1-2hrs... np. I'm free most days.
