I don’t disagree with him.

Wasn’t surprised by his choice for #1, but was surprised by his #3 (Grand Lake). Wouldn’t have guessed there was enough population density to hammer and waterfront property that lake to death.

I agree with his number one overrated lake. All my out of state fishing buddies want to fish Fork and few have been happy with the results (even with guides). I just stay away!

I think all the hype (some justified) about Fork leads people to have preconceived notions that they will have a trip of a lifetime. When the lake doesn't live up it can be very disheartening. That being said I still think that if you are hunting for a double it is still probably the best chance you have (not including private lakes) but it will take being on the lake every day for a period of time to happen. Rarely will it happen for someone coming and fishing for one or two days.

Sounds to me like a pro that gets his nuts kicked in every time he comes to Fork. And you cant really throw this last Bassmaster event into the equation. Event was held at prolly the worst time it could be on Fork. Late Fall going into Winter is always a grind out there as it is on most lakes.
I still agree it is not the lake it was in the 80's and 90's. But for must of us that fish it on a regular basis, it still puts out alot of big fish yearly!......You just cant be the guys that show up once or twice a year and beat the bank with spinner bait.
You would not believe the number of people Ive talked to at the ramp that said they are struggling. Then you look on the deck of their boat at what they are throwing and then you know why.

I think you are making his point you just can't go out there and fish like you would on most other lakes and catch fish!! A lake that fishes like total [censored] 3 months out of the year is what gets you on this list. Man these guys are struggling their butts off to get clients on fish, Heck 15 bites is a good day and most are dinks... That freaking ridiculous man...

YUP YUP YUP!! ABSOFRICKNLUTELY. Please, anyone that thinks they want to fish Fork, please reconsider. All the big fish were washed down the sink hole in the back of Williams Creek! Some bass fisherman went missing a few years back. Nothing to see here!! bolt

He's sucked on his home lake, and every other one, for 35 years. You must have been bored out of your mind to have picked that one to watch.
