Gonna be lots of disappointed anglers, not as easy as it sounds. Mike Bates made the comment that “those guys that fish the TTT, are some of the best that he has ever fished against”.

I think those East Texas grass guys just have a whole different knowledge of how to fish hydrilla. There is something that they see, that us guys who aren’t well versed in it don’t quite ever catch on to.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^ has a lot of truth to it. I have gone back to fishing like I did at Rayburn and TB when I lived in Houston and have done much better. Nothing like they did but better than what I was doing.

Question regarding water level at Choke. I have a Ranger 20' looking to go this Sunday but want to make sure I can launch without issue. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

You can launch at either South Shore or Caliham with no problems.

Have you looked at the weather forecast? If you go don’t launch at South Shore, with 20-30 mph North winds South Shore is NO go! Gonna get dangerous out there if the forecast is correct, gusts to 40 mph... OMG

Well that wouldn't be good , the weather report for Calliham shows 4mph up to 11mph around 12:00pm. What forecast info are you looking at? I see the wind changing direction and possible gust around 40!!

Just don’t launch at South Shore like Minner warned and think hard about where you fish when the wind starts to blow. It’s a nasty drive across the entire lake with a North wind.

Just my opinion, but my formula for Choke, Falcon and Amistad is wind forecast x a factor of 2. Keeps an old man out of trouble.

Well how did it go? Strong winds hit SA at about 1 pm.
