And got a limit. Myself with good buddy Jeff fished a local trout stocking and we EASILY limited out. Three words. "Gold Super Duper"! We kept 10 for the dinner table and released about 10 more. Good post. I also was able to fish a couple of stockings this week and easily limited out. However I had to use the Berkley Trout bait to get a limit at one of the stockings. The Gold Super Duper worked like a champ at the other stocking. Water quality was poor at the first stocking where the trout bait was used. (Muddy, shallow, and stained.) Still was able to get some good quality fish.  Side Note: How was the crowd?

Thanks Chuck. There were a lot of people but not that many around me where I fish. It looked like a lot of people were catching fish.

Gitter: I have not used the fly rod on the trout yet this stocking. I plan on using it a bunch very soon!

How many days do you think after they stock the trout are they all caught out and not with the trouble of going?

How many days do you think after they stock the trout are they all caught out and not with the trouble of going? TomRom: This is the third week of the stockings here in the San Antonio surrounding areas. There will be some hold overs from the past two stockings in some of the places stocked. After this week you have a good chance catching a trout all week long. The best chances of getting a limit are fishing the first three days after the stocking day.

After this weeks stocking on the Guadalupe River you can fish any day of the week and catch a trout. You even have a chance of getting a limit. Your best chances of limiting out are the first three days after a stocking day.

Has anyone fished for them at southside lions park in San Antonio? I am wondering if it would be worth it to take my kayak, but worried the shore will be swamped with people.

I have never fished the southside Lions park stockings. I have heard a lot of people show up and it's extremely crowded. I have not heard any currents reports.
