Any thoughts on the new cost of entry for Media Bass? I went ahead and prepaid for year but I'm wondering if it will run people off?

Media hasn't went up in years. Good for them, it will improve payouts

Team entry is now $200

I remember during a Media tournament Gordon was asking anglers opinion on what they thought regarding entry fee's and that day the majority was definitely in favor of the $200.00 fee and larger payouts.

I wondering the same. It’s already hard for a broke man.

IMO-- the entry fee is minuscule when compared to the total amount most of us spend.
If I'm going to tournament fish---might as well fish one with a good payout.

This is probably not the year to do that but most people fishing these are doing it as an expensive hobby and can afford it, the bass fisherman demographic has shifted greatly since the 80's it not really a poor 'ol country boy sport anymo

Gordon has pretty much survived everything thrown at him. He has been around long enough to know what will work. I look at tournament fisherman like this. 30 to $60,000 boat. 20 to $60,000 truck. 2 to $350.00 rod and reels and so on. $200.00 for a good tournament and payout is nothing to most.

Still got one poor ole country boy fishing here! Got a 5000$ boat just trying to stay afloat and fish a few tournaments.
