Having a difficult time figuring out a water schedule using 1/2 GPH emitters on drought tolerant native plants. Read a bunch on the subject but their are so many variables involved it's almost impossible to come up with a watering plan.

Anyone with experience growing native low water perennial plants using drip irrigation your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know that a schedule is what is needed for drought tolerant native plants. Basically water when it's really dry, water deeper and less frequent

lol. It's from a link I saved a couple years ago. I was going to nerd out on my irrigation system but never took the time to. I might this winter when I have nothing to do. Lots of good info here.

Once established, I would suggest only watering during a severe drought. That's why they're drought tolerant. Agave, yuccas, cactus, salvia, and most grasses don't need much watering.
