If you struggle then holler at me and I can give you some areas to look. The lake has been stingy lately from what my buddies have been telling me. I been travel fishing to big fish lakes last 3 weeks but I plan on fishing Lewisville this weekend so I will know a lot more after I get on the graph. I will say this, get on your navionics app and look for flats in 30-40 ft close to the channel. Then go graph em. When you mark a bunch of fish on the flat pushing bait, throw down on em. I haven’t heard of any big fish coming from north of the toll bridge in over 3 weeks Marc. I can tell you where to catch some eaters up there but if your wanting to catch some big fish I would go deeper than 25 ft right now.

Guesstimating the weight. The largest kept fish was 28". We observe TPWD rules and regulations.

Your guestsamate is a 7 # fish..might want to get you a scale so you know what’s what....a 30” fish weighs 10 lbs. My cousin is a game warden and they will bust your tail hard for slot fish violations.

Cut shad in open water is still working for me. Kept 12 from 4 to 14 lbs last Saturday.

It’s responses like this that make people on this forum not want to post anymore. This site used to be loaded with people willing to share info but it was people like you who made them stop. All Gato was doing was trying to inform you with good and correct info so you could become a better angler. I personally know of game wardens who are members of this site. Posts like yours earlier are good reasons for you to get paid a visit from a warden. Keep up the good work Gato.

I will be out there tomorrow trying not to get skunked. Gonna be some tough fishing most likely. It'll be a 3 big takedowns kind of day I’m betting. Just need to land 1 good one to do the victory dance on my boat. I will look for y’all.

Scanned for several more hours today Mark. Found 4 good groups of fish in 22-30 ft. We caught 5 slot fish with biggest going 28 lbs. We missed a ton of big fish today too.
