Morning all. Looking at the weather forecast thinking that this weekend would be good to take the kayak up to Texoma for half a day. Anyone have recommendations on good general areas to launch & fish? Or to put it simpler, should I launch at Eisenhower park & stick to that area, or go to one of the creek arms west of 377?

Thank you

I've been kayak fishing for Stripers on Lake Texoma for about a year now and I have three locations I've been launching from:

1) The dam ramp by the Dennison Dam for slabbing along the dam,
2) Eisenhower park for fishing along the bluffs,
3) Highport for paddling over to the islands for top water action.

Fishing for Stripers out of a kayak is quite challenging since you can't chase the fish, the birds or the boats. But when you get into them, it's amazing how strong these fish are. Anyway, I'm a newbee and would appreciate any additional advice or launch locations.

My thumper customers have been catching them at lakeside. Bait birds and fish 300 yards from the boat ramp. This is from today. Please try there. [Linked Image]

Nice big dropoff. just out from the Briar Creek boat ramp, always a good place to try.

I couldn't read the message so I googled it. It is on the Oklahoma side.
