Haven’t crappie fished in years and went on a guided trip last week with neighbors on Toledo Bend and had a blast. Looking for a spinning rod or a spinning rod combo. I want a 6’6 or 7’ one piece rod. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've been using a St. Croix premiere spinning rod for years. It was recommended by Guy Skinner on here years ago. It is a 7' Med-Light with Fast action tip. I like it cause it has good back bone and sensitivity.

Your really limiting your options with a 1 piece rod.

Can't go wrong with the St. Croix. But, if that's more than you want to spend, I picked up a couple of the new Lew's Speed Shooters at Academy. Got a 6'6" and a 7' with their smaller spinning reels to go with them. Nice little rods. Took the 7" to Beaver's Bend a couple of weeks ago and landed a 20" rainbow on it.

Both are 1 piece rods.

I know you were wanting a one piece, but something to consider is a 7.6 or 8’ ACC rod. Both are 2 piece but you won’t regret it either.

Hands down the Best Crappie rod I've put in my hand is the ACC 8' with the winn grip. You will not be disappointed.

Depends on how much you want to spend.
