I have a good friend who use to fish it quite a bit because he lives in the area. he says without any rain its very low and tough to fish
I didn't lose him at the boat. I shook him off cause I didn't want my hands to get "fishy"

They took down the plant two years ago. I fished it last week and catch a few but nothing big. They are keeping it at a low leave but you can still fish the cattails along the bank. Both ramp have been improve and the county has added bath rooms at one ramp. All the drug addicts and drunks are gone because the sheriff dept. patrol all the parks now.

LOL that plant has probably been closed for almost 20 years, they dynamited what was left in 2014. Rumor is its being kept low because of issue with the dam cracking but I've not verified this as true.

Not doubting you word but, why would they spend money on a dead lake? I don't see any bathrooms on Google maps. There might be something over near the pavilion.

The county has control of all the parks now. They put in the improvement this past summer. All the roads are black top in all the parks. There is at less 4 parks around the lake so if you want to camp you can. I don't think any have water or electric hook up. They had to run off all the drug addicts and drunks which they did. The power company will not spend any money on the dam unless they build a new plant, that's why the water leave is kept down. It's not the bass lake it was years back but there is still some good fishing there. It's a good catfish and crappie lake and it has white bass also.

What exactly do you think makes it a dead lake? Your comment makes no sense

The four I got the last time out were in the outlet and the biggest was 2 1/2lb.
