 2021 bassmaster opens format change

I heard on the live coverage they were hinting at going back to they way things were done in the past, anyone know what they meant, Western division maybe, I hope they keep the 4 events per division and overall AOY from fishing 2 divisions minimum, its a perfect measuring stick to making it to the tour.

I bet they are going back to 3 divisions with 3 tournaments each (none out west). I think it used to be central, south and north but not 100 % on that.

I like the way it was this year. If they want to reduce the number of qualifiers they should just do 4 from the overall and 2 from each division. That gets them back to the original 8.

Another quick question, when in hells bells are they releasing next years schedule, don't they normaly begin the opens in January???

Usually they do. My guess is they will start later and that it will be released this week.

What no Lewisville on the schedule Since it is some of the anglers favorite they didn't want to give an advantage to them!

9 events more events than either pro schedule has had for awhile. I believe FLW was 6 maybe 7, and BASS has been 8 to 9, one year it was 13 before the 2008 recession.

They definitely catered the schedule to some of the well known pros that are interested in moving back or over to BASS. Sucks if you live in Texas! At least the BASS staff won't have to travel too much...
