So I’m fishing the river channel break off the Deer Stand today. Already got a good 4+ on a jigging spoon. Was feeling good about the spot. I picked up on my line and it felt heavy, so I set the hook. Well no pull just heavy. I reeled it up and was hung on a fishing line. Laid the rod down and pulled in the line. One end had a nice brass Carolina rig set up on it all covered in slime. I though well that will come in handy. I kept pulling... I found a hound dog lure retriever on the line!! All covered in slime but is still usable. Some poor guy hung up his Carolina rig and messed around and lost his retriever trying to get it back. Sounds like my kind of day!! Lol oh well I scored today.
Over all fishing was slow for me this weekend. 5 keepers Saturday maybe 12.5 lbs. one keeper today 4.5 lbs. fished daylight till noon both days. Bait everywhere. 30’ to 1’! Crazy

I never end up with anything useable when I come back hooked to someone else’s line... Sounds like you had a decent weekend regardless
