 On Lewisville for 2 weeks

We will be parking the rv out at Lewisville starting today for the next two weeks and looking to get on the blues. We will have the big boat out with a cabin and heaters so we can take our time. We plan to drift north of the new bridge, humps south of the old dam and maybe deep flats by the new dam. Anyone care to change my mind? Also, I just got a new taped net delivered. This one has a mesh sewn on instead of actual tape. I cant wait to toss it.

Good luck and let us know how you do. All the spots you mentioned I know guys have done well on... but IDK about any recent info. I just dabble with catfish sometimes, there are some real experts on here.

Looking at my Catfish Calendar, I would hit it the hardest for Blues today (Sunday) & Monday (6th & 7th) into the morning of the 8th. Again hit it hard for Blues & Yellows on Saturday night the 19th thru Sunday 20th. Thats a YC day, but the Blues still bite great. Perhaps veer into YellowCats & ChannelCats from the evening of 9th (Thursday) thru Saturday AM (12th) .

If you struggle then holler at me and I can give you some areas to look. The lake has been stingy lately from what my buddies have been telling me. I been travel fishing to big fish lakes last 3 weeks but I plan on fishing Lewisville this weekend so I will know a lot more after I get on the graph. I will say this, get on your navionics app and look for flats in 30-40 ft close to the channel. Then go graph em. When you mark a bunch of fish on the flat pushing bait, throw down on em.

Cut shad in open water is still working for me. Kept 12 from 4 to 14 lbs last Saturday.
Slow drift or jugs if you have them. Sandbass are still slow but have been catching catfish and crappie slapping for them.

14 lbs is in the slot limit and an illegal fish to keep on Lewisville FYI....might want to know your regulations before you get yourself and others into a lot of trouble. You must release all Blues between 30 and 45 inches. 14 lbs is definitely in the slot.

When did they change it from the state regs?

10 yrs ago but they are about to change it again real soon. It’s a good idea to release all blues over 10 lbs no matter what the regulation is.
