was there when you were, caught 8 all the same fayette size. Then back on the creek this guy shows up, trolling at 7 MPH watched him bounce off of trees and almost tip the boat numerous times. Couldn't believe it. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/12/full-115815-76329-fayette_googan_2.jpg)

If people take some of the smaller ones out and the grass comes back the size will blossom Theres plenty of grass where I fish
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

What's it like running? Google EArth shows quite a few trees in the coves.

What's it like running? Google EArth shows quite a few trees in the coves. Timber in some coves and some real shallow points. Easy common sense lake to navigate.

If she's at normal pool yes more or less. There's an area of trees out in the middle that's marked with buoys, I've run through there plenty of times, but I suspect if it were low it might cause problems. If you are paying any kind of attention and have any kind of common sense you can navigate the lake no problem.

You’ll find plenty of average Fayette sized bass on the points with cranks. Bigger ones will take a bit of scrounging.

To me one of the best lakes for #s of fish in Texas. That was a good trip. This If you ever want to learn a technique this is a great lake for it.
