Had a beautiful day on the water looking for fish. Ran into Chris Carey and his party as we looked around. We saw a lot of fish but catching was few with only 5 counters (one over) and about a dozen white bass and striper dinks. We kept trying to locate bird action but never found anything significant. We caught 4 fish north of North Island looking for them on structure. We were into them there late when we got a call that there was bird action elsewhere, so we left, but when we got there it had subsided - none caught there. Too late to go back. We saw the most fish earlier drifting with thumper out from the White Cross. We did that for about 30 minutes and caught only one fish - an under striper. Thanks to SeaPro Todd for hosting the trip. Here are the two pics we took: David with over striper ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/287x215q90/r/922/xBTAZo.jpg) Yours truly with under striper ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/161x215q90/r/923/nufT9W.jpg)

Dennis, It’s nice to know that the master angler himself is human and struggles to find fish occasionally. I obviously do not wish such a day on anyone but I was feeling like maybe it was just me having a rough time finding fish. I have gone to Texoma 3 times, Lake Belton twice and just got back from Possum Kingdom this weekend and have had very similar days where I have found little to no fish.
Maybe I just need to roll on over to Cedar Creek and have myself an epic day like you normally do.
Thanks for the posts, it looks like you still had a great time! A day on the water is always better than a day of work.

Thanks for the good writeup DC. I decided to put my boat up there at the big pond to learn the lake this winter. Birds have been very helpful the last few trips that enabled me to land a dd fish and several overs the week before. But it was blue bird sky day today and little wind and birds went Christmas shopping doh. We just have to go practice again! But good to know that mepps catch fish also on bigT even though many were small. We got more testing to do on this huge arse lake, DC. (my boat covered 45 miles the week before and 37 miles today. That's why its called bigT lol)

Good report even though it wasn’t the ideal conditions for catching large numbers of fish. These reports can help others learn what and when isn’t working so well. Thanks for your report sirs.
