ALL boats should only kick a rooster tail up the height of motor. Anything else and your losing water pressure. That's the way motors are designed UNLESS they have a low water pickup.
I can backlash toilet paper.

I own a ZX250 2019 model, and mine is back at Skeeter for the 2nd time in six month with air pockets in the fiberglass causing a lot of holes. I would definitely do more research in this area if I were looking to buy a new Skeeter. Just got a new ZX225 and just noticed on the top cap areas that look like gel cracks but they aren’t. Looks more like something got in paint on in the mold or something. Look like lint from a towel and have to be at an angel to see. Missed in excitement of new buy....What do the air pockets on yours look like?

Bottom outer edges of the boat below the water line. Holes about the size of dimes and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep all over it. Dealer had their fiberglass person come look at it, and told them there was a problem when the boat was molded with air pockets. Said Skeeter needs to fix it or replace it. Been dealing with it ever since. Skeeter patches it, and two months later they are all back. If I were buying a Skeeter I would take Ken's advice and talk to more dealerships and fiberglass companies about the hulls of these boats. I have owned two Skeeters and one Champion. No issues like this ever before. Hopefully my issue is a one off.

I’m in my second Skeeter FX-21, 2019 model. I am the second owner and the dealer installed a troll tamer for the ghost TM. Well let’s just say it was not installed correctly and punched a hole through the front deck. Called Skeeter, they asked for pics and I sent. They immediately said they would cover it but would like to do it at the factory. I drove it up and in a week and a half had it back (during this Covid mess). They would of shipped it on their cost. I also had some very small issues that they took care of. I don’t know about everyone else’s experiences but they were top notch and I couldn’t be happier. By the way they completely replaced the front decking carpet and pad.

Like the BCB quality but they need to address the electronics impact and limited spacing they have in comparison to other brands in handling the changing technology landscape.

I'd like to drive that FXR21 to see if it really drives that much different than the other Skeeters I've owned. I will say that my FX20 shoots a little higher roostertail @ WOT than top of cowling, not much higher but it's a foot or two. As long as I'm seeing speeds of 75.6mph, I ain't too concerned. When I bought my 2018 FX in Dec 2019, the control panel was faulty. Original owner didn't disclose that. I bought the transferrable warranty from dealer that the owner bought boat at. All that was covered was hull, stringer, fiberglass...pretty much it. No other components in boat were covered. I reached out to Skeeter. I explained my situation and Zach said that they would fully cover the control panel since boat had only 16 hours. That usually doesn't happen for a 2nd owner. This is my 3rd Skeeter and there will be more where this one came from thanks to Zach Shepard at Skeeter Boats. I wish good luck and quick resolution to the ones that are having problems with their Skeeters.

Mine is the height of my motor. I have no idea what mine is. It's behind me. Yesterday all I noticed was 72 mph.

I will say outside of my hull issues I really like the ZX 250. The ride, speed, and really all other intangibles it's good. The deck layout is not what I would prefer, but I knew that going into it. I figured I could live with it at that price point.
