Any of you fellas been catching any biggins? Were off the water this weekend with my son’s 5th B-day party Saturday and his best friends party on Sunday. Can we get some trip reports and some fish pics please? I don’t Facebook so I miss the guys that used to post their trip reports on the Forum. Less and less guys on here willing to share these days except a few of the guides like Littlewheel, Bob, and Stubby. Sorry bro. I haven't been since we saw you on the lake. I have been hunting most weekends. I am itching to get back out there.

Man I haven’t hunted since Jax was born Matt. He is such a wild ace I haven’t got a gun out of the safe in 5 yrs. We sit in the blind and watch stuff come to the feeder or the wheat field at my ranch but he can’t sit there for more than 5-10 minutes. That and I don’t trust him around firearms. My dad used to leave me at home when he went hunting until I turned 12. That’s fine for most guys that only Hunt every so often but my dad hunted all the time. I didn’t necessarily want to hunt as much as I just wanted to go on adventures with him. That always bothered me as a kid so I decided when we had my son I was going to bring him along. The coolest thing about raising Jax on the boat is I no longer have to lay so much groundwork to go fishing. My son wants to fish every weekend and how could my wife say no to that?

I am going to try and head out Sunday.

We might get out tomorrow morning. However, my buddy has been out of school with a cold... Have to see how he is in the morning.

I hope to have a few new pics next week. They won’t be trophy pics by any means, but hopefully there will be a table full ! My buddy Stubby is dialed back a little bit after his pinky finger lost the battle with the skill saw while we were leveling up the fish cleaning table. He has been busy building rods though. Can’t keep him down!

A little birdie told me he caught some big fish on Lewisville on a big 28ft flat a few days ago. Another birdie told me he did good in 40 ft around the channel the same day. Saturday is west wind and Sunday is NW wind so gonna be some tough fishing amigos...I hope y’all hang some toads!
