I don't think 2 stroke is still an option for the manufactures you mention.

I am repowering my 2000 bluewave center console with a Yamaha inline 4. I was considering a suzuki ,
but the price on the yami was the same as the suzuki. ( since don't have to buy new controls)

I have a friend with almost the same boat , he jumped from yamaha to suzuki and loves it. Time will tell

I know nothing about the new Mercurys , but the ones I had in the 90's gave me fits.

I second the dealer support. One question to asked the dealer ...... Are they certified technician on the new four strokes. I wouldn't have anyone touch my boat/motor unless they have the tools/computer to address internal components. Hate parts pullers, bad,bad experience.
