Guess I’ll chime in since Littlewheel volunteered me. Lol! You can learn most of what your looking for here on the forum in previous posts. There a lot of experienced guys on here who are willing to help but be ware, there are also a number of inexperienced guys on here who “think” they know a lot but never seem to have any big fish to show for. You can also go to catfish edge and learn just about anything related to catfishing and it will explain why when and how much better than most of us can. Asking about braid or mono will usually ruffle a few feather too. Braid if you anchor in timber and need to control a big fish from wrapping in the trees and mono helps load up the rod if you drift. The standard drift rig is a santee rig and we all rig em a little different. I pull planer boards most of the year and my main line is 30 lb big game in solar collector green. Leader is 60 lb big game. I use a 2-3 oz slinky weight. 8/0 circle hook is optimum for the size fish your wanting to target and 10/0 if your around a lot of fish over 30 lbs. Big baits = big fish.
