I'm 68,healthy, and wore my mask, still caught it. Here is my crudely written recap. Maybe it will encourage someone.

18 days ago I got sick with what I thought was a cold. A week later I was worse off and a few days after that I tested positive for flu and Covid,we now know I had been positive for a while by then. That was 8 days ago. I tumbled straight off the cliff into delirious long nights of endless hallucinations where my brain went through sequences of numbers, and built towers, and all kinds of busy meaningless nonsense. It was sheer insanity, and exhausting. All of it while every cell of your body is crying out in pain. I can also remember a few times when I was actively trying to figure out if any of this was real. I could not tell if I was awake or asleep. Kind of out of body like,This went on for days.

I was at deaths door and powerless against it.This thing tried to kill me. It shook me like a rag doll and spit me up into the bed and watched me to see if I was still moving. But, I was aware there was an angel, my wife, caring for me around the clock with no regard for her own safety. She got all the right drugs, treatments, kept me hydrated, Arlaine is the finest gift I have ever been given and deserves all good things. So fast forward to morning before last, I was in bed and for the first time, even through the pain and exhaustion I could sense that there was a spark there that felt like there was still something of normal in me,that there was a chance.

I started thinking about all my prayers I had prayed and all of a sudden the Spirit of God-The Father, was there. Very commanding, unemotional, and He came to me to tell me this "The only reason you are alive is because of answered prayers" I was still, speechless, that He had come to me to deliver this message. "The only reason" All of you that prayed for me He not only heard them He acted on them, I got a picture of it like this. "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne room of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need"Hebrews 4:16 Each one of you one by one approaching and making your request known. Bless you all from the bottom of my heart..,I was so blown away after He spoke I was just waiting and He spoke once more and simply said, "You have been given another season" Yall, this was too profound for words really, the feeling of being in His all powerful presence, with these messages, indescribable. But you are ALL part of it so I thought I would let you know.

BTW, I'm slowly improving, probably take the rest of the year , maybe longer to get back. It aged me, weakened me, I've lost lots of weight, hair gone totally gray, but oh the gift I have received.

it's all in the wrist

For those who feel asking God for help isn't manly, your testimony is just another example that PRAYER REALLY WORKS. Thanks for your inspiration from one who is 75 with COPD and only one lung. Whatever the outcome, It will be GOD'S WILL, not ours to be done. Again, prayers for you and your faithful wife. You are truly blessed to have her.

That's rough man. I'm glad you're feeling better and on the mend!

This is one crazy virus. I personally know four people who were infected. One had no symptoms at all, one had just a slight cough, the third one described it as kind of being like a flu, the fourth one who's probably the youngest and in best health of them ended up in intensive care for five days... Said he was so miserable he actually prayed for death if it would stop what he was experiencing.

All are healthy now but man it's a crazy crazy sickness hopefully we get it under control with the vaccine soon.

Again God bless I'm glad you're feeling better Bud.

I hope you have gotten past it. Keep your guard up, I understand the heart problems follow the initial onslaught of symptoms. Sometimes a week or 2 later. Prayers for full recovery..

"where my brain went through sequences of numbers, and built towers, and all kinds of busy meaningless nonsense. It was sheer insanity, and exhausting."

The 1st two days when I got the Virus I had this same thing happen. You couldn't really sleep because of the muscle pain and your mind focused on math equations that meant nothing.

What a strange symptom!

Faith in God is so Powerful, so glad that You survived!

My dad also suffered hallucinations. He contracted the virus about 3/12 to 4 weeks ago and is finally starting to sound like himself again. Luckily, those were his only symptoms. He had no fever, cough, body aches nor any of the other normal symptoms. Even though the effect on his brain was the only symptom, it was bad. He was very confused and had no idea where he was or what was going on. He was hallucinating and delusional. I have friends who call the virus a hoax. I only hope they don't have to experience it first hand.

Glad you made it back and are feeling better catfish.
