Does anyone out there have XM/Sirius radio in their boat? I have a Jensen satellite radio that uses a Sirius broadcast format. I do not like the digital readout on this radio because you can barely see it during the day. The Sirius format is also completely different than the XM radio format in my car. I found a Polyplanar radio that I like, so I called Polyplanar to find out if the radio was a Sirius or XM format. They had no idea. All they could tell me was that it was Sirius/XM. Wow; thanks for the assistance!

My question to the world out there is "does you marine radio have XM or Sirius programming? What brand is it?" I am beginning to worry that all marine radios may be a Sirius format.

I have the Sirius interface for my Lowrance units. The antenna ain’t cheap but it easy to use and you can read it.

Thanks, Billy

I bought one of the $50 Sirius radio boxes that plug into a cigarette lighter plug and the out put plugs into the aux plug on my radio. I can use it in the boat, utv, and my truck. The sound is awesome and I don’t have to worry about it getting wet. If it’s raining I throw it in dry storage. I put one of the 3” round radios in the dash of my boat. Works awesome and sound good. I removed my old speedometer that didn’t work any more and put it in that hole.

I appreciate all of the replies but I am still looking for solutions to my problem. I have a radio with Sirius programming. Sirius programming is not as good as XM. Does anyone have a boat radio with satellite service? And if so, what format do you have; XM or Sirius?
