All blue laws need to end. The no beer before noon on Sunday is silly and unnecessary.

Dilly, dilly! And it should be legal to have your own still.

I don’t know. I hear that everything slows down. You can p for 30 min in weed years and it might make you want a slurpie

That sums it up.

You will find Frank Zappa, Emerson Lake and Palmer and Pink Floyd fascinating music. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory along with Beavis and Butthead will be suddenly entertaining.

It's not always wonderful.

If you are already feeling sad/depressed/paranoid, smoking bud can accentuate those feelings--not good.

If you are a generally happy person, getting high also accentuates that condition. Colors become more vibrant. Music sounds incredible. If you are lucky enough to get high with wife/girl friend, the sex can be transformative as well as the Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla after the sex.

There was a young man in this town that died last night due to weed. Another dope rip gone bad. We have had few that have been fatal this year mainly due to covid. We had 8 fatal last year and 11 the year before. This stuff won’t stop if legalized and in most states has gotten worse. I can definitely tell you that the gradual decriminalization approach isn’t working.

Not one person has ever died from weed.

Are you going to keep repeating that until it’s true?

Yeah, I'd like to hear the details on this claim. You can't overdose on weed, but you could in theory wind up killing yourself from doing something stupid or exasperating some serious pre-existing condition. I'd hazard a guess that alcohol kills more in any given hour than weed kills in a year.

so here is the flip side .
The US Federal Government spends $35 billion a year chasing down weed smokers , growers and sellers . Then , if they convict someone , add another $50K ( probably more now ) a year per person to house them in prison . I am 100% positive that money can be better spent elsewhere . The government has tried for six decades to " stop " weed --- and where has all that money gone .
Secondly , think of all the crime on crime violence in those states where it is still illegal . Go watch a few episodes of the series " 48 Hours " . It seems like half those people killed on that show are because of a $40 bag of weed .
For those of you that think alcohol is worse than weed , and come here and bash on weed smokers --- think again , alcohol absolutely kills tens of thousands per year , ruins families and turns people into alcoholics . Do you know any alcoholics ? I did , my mom was one and her life was miserable . Weed doesn't seem to do that . But it seems OK for y'all to drink alcohol but not smoke weed ???? Crazy .

Saw that in the Navy. Damned good technician turned into worthless in less than a year from weed.

All these persons died during their involvement with very low level amounts of marijuana. Either as a consumer or seller. Did they OD, of course not. I’m just trying to point out that there is an ugly side to marijuana that some wish for us to ignore. Feel free to look up last nights case. Khambrail Winters.
